An Aztec Archaeological Site

ruins of Mitla Mitla is a town in Oaxaca, Mexico, mostly known for its pre-Colombian archaeological site. The place was a Aztec ceremonial center, a sanctuary, initially dominated by the Zapotecs followed by the Mixtecs.
These ancient ruins, dated from 200AD to 900AD, attract many visitors for its enigmatic geometrically patterned mosaic decoration.
