Clark Terry

Yesterday we went to see the trumpeter Clark Terry at the Blue Note Milano.
He was fantastic with his trumpet and flugelhorn, but it was really inspiring when he actually sang!
Also David Glasser’s alto saxophone was quite impressive. -

Olodum in Milano

Yesterday we saw Olodum at the Portello parking area, nearby Milano’s Fair Complex.
Except by the big sign “Fiera di Milano” visibly behind the stage it was a concert with real carnival flavor! Caipirinha included! -

Tom Jobim
Clube do Tom is an official meeting point for fans. You can find the discography, lyrics, curiosities, and even original recordings to listen.
I found Jobim’s original handwriting for the song “Aguas de Marco” interesting and graphically beautiful. Published in 1972 in occasion of its first recording, in the “Pasquim” newspaper, Rio de Janeiro.

O Pato
When I was little my dad and I played bossanova together. He used to play the guitar so I could sing with my child like voice, which matches perfectly with the style.
Last month he came to visit us and we spent 10 nice days together. We reminisced old times…
Here is a version of the song “O Pato” (immortalized by João Gilberto in 1959) that he played, I sang and Lorenzo mixed and recorded in his computer.
Pure homemade quality!!! Enjoy. -

Billie on Holidays
If there is something I really enjoy about a holiday is how you can start your day in slow motion and simply listen to nice music while preparing breakfast, navigating on the internet or doing laundry. Billie, as her last name may suggest, is perfect for these occasions.
(vc nao acha, mami?)
