To soccer fans

Take a time to have a look on FIFA’s Laws of the Game. It is a nice illustrated PDF, with only 16 laws, simple and clear to everyone.
Except, of course, for the most controversial law in soccer, the offside: there are at least 10 illustrations explaining when there is and when there is not offside.
And for those who still have doubts… you only score when “the whole of the ball passes over the goal line”.

John Lemon
Esselunga is probably the biggest supermarket chain in Italy, and surely the funniest.
It’s Advertising Campaign, created by Armando Testa, wanted to emphasize that Esselunga’s products were “famous for its quality”.
Fruits and vegetables sold there are so special that each one is a famous personality.
John Lemon is a good example of one of them! -

We are having a “broadband blackout” by our ISP mistake!
They say it will take like a MONTH to restore it!!!
Yes… we’re in Italy…By the way… now that we are connecting by dial-up I’m thinking how was possible to navigate in internet with 56kps…

improved desktop by lorbus
Check out the idea of an Improved Desktop that lorbus posted today!
Pondering his post and my subsequent comment, it reminded me a lecture by the architect Marcus Novak that I saw in 1999 at Sao Paulo. He was presenting his concept of transArchitecture -”architecture beyond architecture, is an architecture of heretofore invisible scaffolds. It has a twofold character: within cyberspace is exists as liquid architecture that is transmitted across the global information networks; within physical space it exists as an invisible electronic double superimposed on our material world.”This is one of my favorites subjects! I’m open to discuss it…

Online MAP
Maporama lets you search online for addresses and/or itineraries from lots of cities!
I looked for my adresses in Milano and Sao Paulo, and it worked just fine!
Then, pushing it, I searched for an itinerary between both… well… I exaggerated! “impossible to determine”. -

APOD

Did you ever see this image? Well, it was from NASA’s Astronomy Picture of the Day, at 27 november 2000.
It is a nice page to pass by often as “each day a different image or photograph of our fascinating universe is featured, along with a brief explanation written by a professional astronomer.” -

motorino!
We just got a new 4 stroke 100cc scooter (photos will be available soon…) and I wanted to know how its engine works. Lorenzo started explaining to me, and at the end we just got this nice interactive explanation from internet.
If you want to learn how everything works simply go to the site How Stuff Works. Cars, computers, electronics, science, even people behavior! Just fascinating! -
