  The very first weekend of spring we got a perfect weather.
  Sunny, warm and flowers popping up everywhere.
  We had a nice walk by the Naviglio (the only Milano’s canal), where once a month there is an antique’s market on the street.

  Last night it finally snowed in Milano for the first time in the 2004/2005 winter. Usually it does not snow and it will probably be the last time this season…

  Yesterday we saw Olodum at the Portello parking area, nearby Milano’s Fair Complex.
  Except by the big sign “Fiera di Milano” visibly behind the stage it was a concert with real carnival flavor! Caipirinha included!

  Celebrating the summer (and inspired by 2003 Paris-Plage) 600 tons of sand were placed by the Arco della Pace to create an artificial beach (aka Beach Rumble) in the heart of Milano.

  It’s been exactly 2 years since an small airplane went after the Pirelli Building.
  Since then the building has been under re-construction, specially of the facade, and today there will be it’s reopening.

  It is a great pleasure to see a Gio Ponti‘s architecture in a perfect and beautiful shape.

  Today morning was snowing in Milano…….

• 01.12.03 chaos in milano streets

  A complete chaos in Milano!!! A whole (rainy) day of strike in the public transportation network!
  If Italian traffic is known by its drivers craziness I can’t tell what it was like today.
  There was no space in the streets where I could ride my bike. Cars where almost touching each other, barely flowing like a river of mud.

• 11.08.03 Italian vacation

  Milano in August is completely deserted. Everybody is out of town, everything is closed including shops, bakeries, and bars. Almost every company closes its doors and doesn’t even answer its phones. All workers take their annual vacation at the same time!

  It is incredible how in the year 2003, Italy – a G7 member – can sustain a 20 day “general-strike” once a year!

• 16.04.03 Aperitivo break

  Wednesday evening in Milano… there’s nothing like a nice “aperitivo” after work. It is the charge needed for the ending week! A nice red wine is enough to relax, and take a breath in the middle of the week without compromising it!
